The actress, who was last seen in the Telegu film Shakti opposite Jr. NTR, is facing the wrath of the film's producer Aswini Dutt. The fate of the movie at the box office is known to all. In an attempt to save the film, the producer planned an extensive promotional schedule with director Meher Ramesh , Jr. NTR and Ileana.
However, the actress failed to be a part of the promotions. Miffed with Ileana's unprofessional act, the producer moved to the Tollywood Producers' Council and Movie Artistes' Association (MAA) and filed a complain against the actress.
Now, MAA and Producers' Council are awaiting an explanation from Ileana for her absence during the film's promotions. Though the actress is yet to respond on the issue, we hear that she couldn't make it to the event due to ill health.
A source from Tollywood revealed, "Why wouldn't Ileana be a part of the promotions? It's her film too after all and she has been promoting the film on her Twitter account too. Then why would she back off? She has been keeping unwell since sometime and therefore had to give the events a miss."
Whatever the reason for her absence, Ileana surely will have a tough time wining back the trust from Tollywood producers. A look at her filmography also tells that she has only one Telugu flick in hand - Nenu Naa Rakshasi, which too is in the post-production stage.
If Ileana fails to come up with a valid explanation, chances of her losing out on Telugu projects are very high.
