Bollywood calling Tollywood Heros

The yesteryears saw the graceful ladies of South Indian cinema — Hema Malini, Sridevi, Jaya Prada and gang — take giant leaps in Bollywood, ll thanks to their classic looks and dancing skills.

The men however, couldn't make much of a mark even though they were kings of South Indian cinema. But the year 2011 is proving to be a good one for Tollyville. The Telugu film industry is making an impact in Bollywood and how!

Getting the act right: This year alone, Tollywood is making a big buzz in the Hindi film industry. As far as star power is concerned, B-Town seems to have welcomed the actors from the South with open arms. It began with "Dum Maaro Dum," which marked the debut of actor RaNa Daggubati followed by "Shor in The City" which saw "Prashthanam" actor Sundeep Kishan make his Bolly beginning. Post the rave reviews of "Shor..." and praise for Daggubati's looks in "DMD" a lot of production houses and directors have shown interest in the actors. "It's encouraging when Telugu stars are part of Hindi films. It gives us a wider scope to explore the acting world," says actor Sundeep.
